Mornings

This morning my team decided to take a walk to the ocean inlet to see the sun rise.

It was very cloudy, so we didn't think we were going to get to actually see the sun. But after a little while the sun started peaking through the clouds.

I am so blessed to live in such a beautiful place.

And then I was home

For the past few weeks I have felt like a homeless person, moving from place to place and living out of a suitcase. But after another very long flight and a long car ride I arrived at my new home.

I landed in the capital city, then we started driving out to our town.

It is so beautiful and green.

I am settling in now and learning how to live life in a small West African town. The past few days have been crazy, but I am so happy to finally be here.

My week in 30 seconds

Here is a glimpse of the past few weeks.

Cold Africa

Botswana was so different than any place I have been.

It was freezing.

It was beautiful.

My orientation was hard, but it taught me so much about myself.

Last week felt like it lasted 10 years.

I'll miss it.
